Myles Lewis
Myles Lewis moved from the midwest to the Tahoe area in 2002 looking to embrace that mountain life-style and pursue his passion for snowboarding. A long time fitness enthusiast, Myles has been working out since he was 16. He began his personal training career in 2006, constantly in search of exercise techniques that inspire and motivate. Myles discovered CrossFit in 2008. He was blown away by the effect it had on him and his snowboarding performance. CrossFit was the technique he'd been searching for. He became a CrossFit coach shortly after, and has been addicted ever since.

When he's not working out or training others, you can find him with his family, snowboarding, playing hockey, fishing, hunting, gardening or working on his wife's endless honey-do list...or wrestling bears, yetis and mountain lions. Now quit reading about Myles and get to the gym for the WOD!

Beth Brixen
Beth Brixen grew up in Arizona but has lived in Tahoe for over 11 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Arizona State (Go Sun Devils!) in 2003 and her Master of Arts in Teaching from Sierra Nevada College in 2009. Beth's greatest accomplishments are her three energetic, incredible little girls. Her full-time job is definitely “mommy”!
Beth has loved all things athletic since she was young. Growing up, she participated in soccer, softball, track and field, and cheerleading. She found CrossFit in 2010 with hopes to get in shape. Little did she know how life changing, both physically and mentally, this CrossFit community would be. Beth fell in love with the idea of pushing herself beyond her perceived limits EVERY time she walked in the gym. Whether she was doing preggy burpees, fighting to lose the baby weight or just plain blowing off steam to keep her sanity with the ups and downs life throws at you…she highly values the importance of consistent hard work and dedication. This was her driving force in taking her passion for fitness a step further with the decision to obtain her Level 1 certificate in April of 2018. Beth’s goal is to encourage and inspire others to fiercely work hard and fight for positive mental/physical results. And to have a dang good time while doing it! She is honored to be a small part of big changes for those that she gets to work with.

Beyond the gym, Susie is an avid skier, traveler, and metabolic health geek.

Meghan Polite
Originally from San Anselmo, Meghan grew up barefooted and wild with her 4 older siblings. With competition running deep in her family, Meghan was immersed in every sports team available to her as a child: ballet, soccer, basketball, baseball, dance, lacrosse….you name it, she played it. She eventually found her one love in soccer playing competitively through the collegiate level and, after a bit of wandering, she
eventually earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Oregon.

In 2010, Meghan moved to Tahoe and has maintained a livelihood as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and as the owner of Tahoe Fullers catering and sandwich business. Since starting her CrossFit Avalanche membership in 2016, Meghan feels she has finally found her “team," something she has been searching for since her younger years of team sports. As a coach, she believes her role is to facilitate a space where members can check out from their busy lives and check in to an hour of camaraderie, smiles, and
healthy competition.

Kyle Railton
Aside from some time spent abroad in Europe and New Zealand in his early 20s, Kyle has lived in Tahoe his entire life. While Kyle has always been active, some of his early choices were not the healthiest. As Kyle got older and wiser, he started to realize that health and fitness opened a lot more doors than sitting on a bar stool.
Kyle first started CrossFit in 2009 to improve his fitness for dirt bike racing. While his initial goal was to beat guys in the dirt, he found a whole new world of competition in CrossFit. It wasn't long before Kyle was hooked. He obtained his Level 1 Certificate in 2010 and began training others and sharing his passion for fitness. CrossFit also led to Kyle's involvement with the Tough Mudder community, where his alter ego, Coach T Mud, helps participants warm up and prepare for Tough Mudder events.
Kyle takes his coaching seriously, but will always jump at the chance to poke fun at himself for a laugh. He believes every CrossFit class should be a mix of hard work, good laughs, and personal growth.
